The courtyard of the 300-year-old Ottoman house is ornamented with tall palm trees and flowers and orange trees stand in front of the old stone walls. At this restaurant, wooden benches and tables are placed under trees in the middle of the greenery directly on the shore of the river and some are even built on stakes in the river. The atmosphere here is casual.<\/p>\n<p>The sound of the river and the chirping of the crickets are the background music in this fish restaurant. Fresh fish in all imaginable variations is served. The fish are bred in fish farms right next to the restaurant. If you want, you can take a look at them. A romantic place where nature lovers get their money&#8217;s worth. Vegetables are grown in the garden, and the herbs come from the neighboring mountains. Ecological cuisine is the priority here. Turkish specialties are cooked with organic ingredients from the surrounding area. The lamb is particularly recommended. Those who come here for breakfast are well-fed for the rest of the day. The Serpme breakfast served here is so varied and rich.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant is located in a 300 year old button house, built of only stone and boards without nails or cement. The button houses of Ormana are now protected monuments. On the way here, it&#8217;s worth visiting Alt\u0131nbe\u015f\u0131k Cave. Perhaps you would like to go mushroom picking in the mountains? The morel, the second most expensive mushroom in the world after the truffle, can be found here.<\/p>\n<p>The relaxed atmosphere alone is enough to make you forget the stress of everyday life. Until the 1970s, this small village was only accessible by a donkey path and there was no tourism. However, Ka\u015f used to be an important fishing port and is still frequented by boats and yachts. Directly opposite is the easternmost inhabited Greek island, Kastellorizo. The trip to this island takes only 30 minutes by boat. Due to the proximity to Greece, restaurants serve Greek dishes, as well as Turkish.<\/p>\n<p>The entire downtown area of Ka\u015f with narrow, cobblestone streets and typical Greek houses is now a protected area and offers dreamlike scenery in front of the harbor.
