What can I do at Andriake?<\/h2>\n
Andriake is located in Demre District of Antalya. It was serving as the harbour of Myra Ancient City.<\/p>\n
While visiting the city, you will encounter with a bath complex, an agora, workshops, a synagogue a church, honorary monuments and a cistern. Also, the historical granarium structure (granary) has been turned into a museum about the Lycian Civilization today.<\/p>\n

You can visit the Lycian Civilizations Museum in the site. You can visit both Andriake ancient site and the museum with a single ticket.<\/p>\n
You can watch a short informative film about the Lycian Civilizations at the entrance of the museum. In the museum, you should definitely see the simulation of a ship docked in a Lycian city.<\/p>\n
The museum building was built after a restoration of the Granarium (Imperial Silo), which was built in 129-130 AD, with a width of 2307 m2. It consists of 8 sections arranged on behalf of the cities of the Lycian Union.<\/p>\n
Boat Tours to Kekova from Andriake (Cayagz\u0131)<\/h3>\n
This is the best starting point for daily boat trips to Kalek\u00f6y, Kekova, Sunken City, Ucagiz, Tersane Bay. You can rent a boat as a small group or join a mixed group.<\/p>\n
You will see the ancient structures submerged under water. You will arrive at Kekova Island in about 25 minutes from departure.You are also given one hour of free time to visit Kalek\u00f6y settlement. The trip continues with swimming breaks in the beautiful bays of the Mediterranean.<\/p>\n

Andriake is located between Kekova and Demre. Being within the borders of Demre, in the west of Antalya, Andriake is 5 km away from the center of Demre and 45 km from Ka\u015f. <\/p>\n

History of the Andriake<\/h2>\n
There was a settlement on Andriake as a small city in Lycia although it was famed as the harbour of Myra in the ancient times. Anrdiake was an important port of the Lycian Region, like the cities of Patara and Phaselis.<\/p>\n
Myra stood out as a very important city where St. Nicholas was the bishop and the church where the saint’s tomb was located. As the port of this important and rich city, Andriake was heavily traded.<\/p>\n
