In addition to miles of beaches, the coastal area is also a paradise sporty activities for hiking and rafting enthusiasts.
There are hiking trails and cultural routes that lead through a unique landscape. Partly, the hiking routes are located near the coasts or at least start there.
The Antalya region also has many breathtaking canyons to visit for boat trips or hiking activities, such as Green Canyon, Sapadere Canyon or Göynük Canyon.

The largest rafting center in Turkey is located 90 kilometers northeast of Antalya in the Köprülü Canyon, a 366 km2 canyon and national park. Here you can find whitewater and rapids of all sizes and levels of difficulty.
At Kumköy near Manavgat, rafting enthusiasts will encounter various rapids and varying degrees of difficulty; the rivers here flow through dense forests. Near Kemer, a hiking trail leads to the Göynük Canyon, and Alanya and Side also offer rafting opportunities in the vicinity.

Hikes to the natural gas field Yanartas Chimeira, which has been burning for more than 2,500 years, or to the ruins of Olympos can easily be combined with a beach vacation.
Short hiking routes are also the way to the Yanartas Chimaira in Çırlı and to the castle mountain of Alanya or to the ruins of the ancient city Termessos at the foot of Mount Solymos. It is also possible to climb to the top of the Olympos Teleferik in Kemer or walk to the ruins of Syedra from the center of Alanya.
An option for experienced hikers are the cultural routes such as the 509-kilometer Likya Yolu, which leads from Fethiye along sights such as the ruins of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Xanthos, Myra and the cliffs of the Lycian Coast to Antalya.
The St. Paul's Way with very demanding and strenuous sections with a length of 500 kilometers starts in Perge 10 kilometers east of Antalya and follows the footsteps of the Apostle Paul to the ancient site of Antioch near Yalvaç in the northeast of Lake Eğirdir. The trail leads to altitudes of up to 2,200 meters.

The Göynük hiking trail near Kemer leads through idyllic nature with a wild river and picturesque waterfalls in the canyon of the same name. Rafting, canyoning safari tours, paintball or canyoning are offered.
The Green Canyon near Manavgat is one of the few canyons in Turkey that can be explored by a boat trip that takes you along a rugged rocky landscape over the 470-hectare Olymapınar Dam.
The 750-meter-long Sapadere Canyon in the east of Alanya can be reached after a 30-minute hike. If you want, you can swim in the ice-cold water here.
Saklıkent Canyon National Park is famous for its 18-kilometer-long canyon, where bungee jumping is offered in addition to rafting and canyoning. In the 366 square kilometers Köprülü Canyon and National Park you can find the largest rafting center in Turkey.
