What Can I Do at Tünektepe?
As you ascend with the Tünektepe Cable Car, you will discover an unbeatable view of the horizon of Antalya.
The cable car travels 1,706 meters in about 9 minutes to the top at Tünektepe, about 605 meters above sea level. It has 36 cabins that can hold 8 people each and it can easily carry 1,200 people per hour.
You can find restaurants and cafes at the top. Since the restaurants here are affiliated with the Municipality of Antalya, the prices are quite affordable. Bringing food from outside is not allowed.
There is a playground for children at the upper station. You can enjoy a detailed panoramic view with the coin operated binoculars.
It's better to call before you go on rainy days, since the cable car might not be operational due to bad weather conditions.

The History of the Tünektepe Cable Car
The cable car project was initiated in 2013 as a project to connect Tünektepe, the coastal hill overlooking the city of Antalya, with the Sarısu Neighborhood on the edge of the Konyaaltı district. This project cost 14 million Turkish Lira.

You should know, that for Turkish citizens, the difference is subsidised by the state to make sights more attractive also for locals. That’s the reason, why prices differ for locals and Turkish citizens.
