We carry our electronic devices that we constantly need, such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, wherever we travel. It is useful to know the socket types used in a country where we are going for the first time.

In this article, we will inform you about the socket types used in Turkey so that you do not have any problems during your travel.

Socket Types In Turkey

There are 2 types of plug types used in Turkey that are compatible with each other. These two plug types are called as C and F type.

Electrical appliances used in Turkey generally use F type plugs. Plug type F is the plug which has two round pins with two earth clips on the side as you see on the image above. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins. Turkey operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Travel Adapters

We have learned which type of plugs are used in Turkey. Now, what if there is a different type of plug in your country? To avoid problems due to the differences in voltage or socket types, best solution is to use a travel adapter that combines the plug type of many countries.

Voltage Converters

It may not be enough just for the electronic device to fit the plug in some cases. Sometimes there are also voltage differences from country to country.

Electricity supplies worldwide can vary from anything between 100V and 240V. If you don't want your electronic devices to be damaged, it's a good idea to carry a voltage converter. The F type plug and socket system used in Turkey operates in the range of 220 – 240 Volts.
