1. Hike to the Canyon
After a leisurely 30 minute hike through an impressive mountain landscape, you will reach the canyon.
Well-maintained wooden trails lead you easily through the picturesque valley. Along the way, you can enjoy the fresh air and admire the natural pools, as well as many species of animals that call the valley home. Finally, you will arrive at the canyon, where the village of Sapadere is located.
Here you will be welcomed by a beautiful waterfall and natural pools. If you're brave, you can dare to jump into the ice-cold spring water and swim here. There are also ladders in some places, so you can easily descend into the pools. The most beautiful pool is located at the most distant waterfall in the canyon.
2. The Village of Sapadere
In the village of Sapadere you can buy regional food, spices, fresh vegetables, and tropical fruits. The village is also interesting for its silkworms that hatch in the spring and the old silk factory, which can be visited. The mosque in the village is also one of the places to visit for many tourists.
3. Attractions in the Area
- A short trip to Dwarf Cave, located just a few kilometers above the valley, is recommended. A short walk through the cool stalactite cave is a wonderful way to see this attraction.
- About 1.5 hours away, you will find the idyllic Dim Çayı National Park, one of the most visited attractions in Alanya.
4. Restaurant in Sapadere Canyon
There is a local restaurant at the entrance of the canyon in the middle of nature. It serves typical Turkish food and has outdoor seating. The tables on the river bank are the most sought after.
This is a good place to take a break and enjoy Turkish delicacies and a beautiful view of the river, while listening to the sound of the moving water in the background.

How to Get to Sapadere Canyon
Sapadere Canyon is located in the village of Sapadere, about 40 km from Alanya.
It is not possible to get there by public transport.
You can explore Sapadere Canyon either on a guided day trip, for example a jeep safari, or drive with a rental car and visit the valley at your own pace. The the roads are well marked and there are parking facilities on site.
